Cara termudah untuk menyelesaikan soal di atas adalah dengan membandingkannya dengan format personal letter yang ada di halaman 67. Perhatikan gambar di bawah. Posisi dan Cara Penulisan surat pribadi harus sama persis seperti gambar tersebut

B. There are several mistakes (grammatical as well as in the format of the letter) in the letter given below. Highlight the mistakes and then rewrite the letter properly in the space provided.

B. Ada beberapa kesalahan (tata bahasa serta dalam format surat) dalam surat yang diberikan di bawah ini. Sorot kesalahan dan tulis ulang surat itu dengan benar di tempat yang disediakan.

I hope all is well with you. It's been a while since you moved to the new city for college. It is so sad that you are not few houses away anymore. I hope your new life is going well. It must be exciting living on your own in the hostel college. Everything is fine here. You know nothing much happens here. Have you already settled in? When is your college starting? Do you like the place you are living in? How is the neighborhood? I can't believe you live on boarding. I will be starting college soon as well but my parents insisted that I live at home.

Anyway, a bunch of us were talking about a reunion in summer holidays. So you better keep your calendar free. Nothing has been decided so suggestions are welcome!!!

That reminds me if you need anything let me know. I will gladly help. Have fun and don't stay out late. we miss you so much!!!

P. S. I saw your mother the other day she misses you a lot and wishes that you called more often.

Jadi ada beberapa kesalahan yang terdapat pada surat pribadi di atas, diantaranya:

1. Posisi alamat (nama jalan) harusnya diletakkan di pojok kanan atas surat
2. Posisi tanggal harusnya di letakkan di bawah nama jalan di pinggir kiri
3. "My dearest Lana," harusnya diletakkan dibawah tanggal
4. Sebelum kata "Hey sweetie" harusnya ada spasi (jarak)
5. Kalimat "I hope all is well with you" merupakan kalimat pembuka paragraf, jadi harus di tulis menjorok ke kanan.
6. Kata "few" tidak sesuai grammar, harusnya di tulis "a few"
7. Kata "Anyway" terletak pada paragraf baru, jadi harus ditulis menjorok ke kanan.
8. Kata "summer" seharusnya di tulis "the summer"
9. Kata "That remainds me" harus ditulis menjorok ke kanan karena awal paragraf baru.
10. Huruf "w" pada kata "we miss you so much!!!" harus menggunakan huruf kapital (besar) karena berada setelah titik atau awal kalimat.
11. Kata penutup & tanda tangan harusnya di kasih jarak dengan isi surat
12. Kata "P.S. I saw" harusnya di tulis setelah tanda tangan / nama pengirim (Jane)
